RSD与加州大学欧文分校放射科学系合作开发的肺与胸模体专门用于提供高度的真实感胸部x线摄影。RSD材料相当于天然骨组织和软组织。动物肺部的选择与成年雄性的大小相匹配。将肺固定在膨胀状态下，并将其塑形以符合幻肢的胸膜腔。肺动脉注射了血液等效塑料。模拟左冠状动脉的肺胸影显示冠状动脉不规则和狭窄的几个区域。
